RealTech launches: a hub for news about every technology, with no war and no politics
Drones and batteries, biotech and climate, robots and space used to live under one cover and are now scattered across narrow sites. We bring them back together: short, factual, with a source under every claim, and only good news.

Today RealTech opens: an independent global publication about every technology. The Real in the name stands for real technology, the kind that changes life for the better. This note is the first one, and it is about us.
We are launching because these topics once shared a cover and are now spread across dozens of narrow sites. A battery story sits next to advertising, the specifications are copied from a press release without a single question, and a result in mice is presented as a cure. A reader who simply wants to know what happened has to dig through noise.
We are bringing back the old school of science and technology journalism. Its rules are simple: accuracy over speed, respect for the reader, a source under every claim, a drawing over clickbait. They are written down in our editorial standard, and the standard is public.
The main rule
It is in the slogan: all technology, no war and no politics. We do not write about weapons, armies, elections or crime. From dual-use technology we take only the civilian side: a satellite is interesting for what it measures, a drone for what it delivers, an engine for what it saves. Our news is about how humanity gets smarter, healthier and stronger.
How the site is organised
Nine sections: Sky and Space, Power and Energy, Machines and Manufacturing, Digital and Computing, Life and Health, Planet, Science, Devices, Industry and People. Each section has its own page, and inside it the rubrics have their own addresses. Industry and People is where you will find startups, companies, exhibitions, inventors, education, the history of technology and the editorial explainers.
The form is the only new thing: a fast site, one column, a dark theme, times in your own time zone, articles that read one after another, search by ⌘K, RSS with full texts. The site is published in English with a Russian edition at /ru, and more languages will follow.
For the first days the feed consists of notes about the site itself. Real news will appear as the editorial pipeline connects. If you find a mistake or want to suggest something, write to hello@realtech.media.
