STATION F, the Paris startup campus founded by Xavier Niel in 2017, has published its 2026 Future 40 list, Tech.eu reports. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗ The eighth edition was selected from more than 1,000 startups, and the 40 companies make up about four per cent of the campus's 2026 startup community. The cohort has raised €110 million to date. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗

Separately, companies across the wider STATION F ecosystem raised a record €2 billion in 2026, compared with more than €1.5 billion in 2025. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗ Large rounds by alumni Multiverse Computing (€500 million) and Alan (€480 million) contributed to the total. Across all eight editions, Future 40 companies have collectively raised €1.2 billion.

Cohort profile and funding

The cohort covers deeptech, developer infrastructure, robotics and climate tech. Named rounds include CURA ($10 million), Cleavr (€8 million) and Lemrock (€7 million). Of the 40 companies, 31 are at pre-seed or seed stage and two are at Series A. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗

Five companies are bootstrapped, and two of them are now raising funding. Camille Aubery, an investor at STATION F, linked this partly to a changed funding environment: in 2021 and 2022 startups could sometimes raise money with little more than an idea and a short pitch deck, and some founders now want to keep control of their businesses. Among the bootstrapped companies, Oguste reached €400,000 in annual recurring revenue in less than a year. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗

According to Aubery, 47 per cent of the teams have at least one PhD and 75 per cent are repeat founders. STATION F also reports growing interest in robotics and hardware. The list includes Bleu Robotics, which develops models for industrial humanoid robots, and Allude, which builds infrastructure for robots in factories. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗

Return from Y Combinator and industry partners

Six companies in the cohort took part in Y Combinator and then returned to France. Aubery said it is cheaper to build in France and that a global company can be created without being based in the US. She also noted that France still lacks liquidity and late-stage capital. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗

The campus has 50,000 square metres, supports more than 1,000 startups a year through 40 programmes, and has hosted around 9,000 startups since launch, with founders of 60 nationalities. In healthtech, partners include Sanofi, and the Care Forward programme was launched with Doctolib, AP-HP and Roche. Aubery said TotalEnergies acquires up to four companies a year from the campus. tech.euTech.eutech.euOpen source ↗
